Jewelry Trade Services is a small Midwest trade shop, family owned and operated by Ken Scroggins. Ken and his brother, Mike, have worked together to enhance their craft with laser welding techniques. From the time he was young, Ken enjoyed working with his hands. This led to finding opportunities in the ever-changing jewelry industry. They have offered custom jewelry services, repair, restoration, and laser welding solutions to the industry for over 30 years. Being from the Kansas City area, we have a good relationship with local jewelry industry leaders.

JTS provides a solution for jewelry stores and jewelers facing complex repairs and custom projects. Often referred to as the “jeweler’s jeweler,” Ken and Mike receive repairs that require their expertise and know-how. They utilize their experience and use innovative techniques and laser welding to complete even the most complex jewelry repairs and custom projects, projects that otherwise could not be completed!

So, what’s the secret?

JTS has installed, operated, maintained, and serviced five different laser welders since the year 2000.  JTS has worked closely with the industry-leading laser manufacturers Rofin Baasel and Stuller Inc. for over 20 years.

Ken and Mike keep up-to-date with the latest technology by attending trade shows, workshops, and through hands-on experience with experienced technicians.

How experienced are we?

The JTS team has accumulated over 100 years of combined industry experience.Each time we use a laser to make a repair, pulses are fired to bond the metal. 

The JTS team has logged over 75 million laser pulses since we began using this technology at their shop.  Very few companies have this kind of accrued experience.  Translation?  We can provide solutions to the problems your jewelry company experiences.
